IT SHALL BE FOR MEAT

I’ll spend more time on this section than any other, and for good reason.  This is the SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT physical thing you can do to make the landscape of your body UNINVITING to cancer.  The single most important thing.

Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.” – God

I DID NOT WANT TO DO THIS when I first started.

Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up. – James 4:10

…and the verse before that one descibes EXACTLY how I felt about it, hahaha!!!

Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. – James 4:9

What we’re about to discuss…I wasn’t happy about it.  At first.  BUT, long story short, it’s been absolutely life changing!

Start with this first video.  To me, it was jaw dropping.  Hopefully that will make you want to check out all the information, and decide for yourself!

FOOD MATTERS.  If you are looking for something that can spark the biggest change in your body all the way down to the cells that were designed to protect you, then eating the very same diet we had before disease even existed…has been proven to do just that.

Not junk food, not meats and cheeses…the food that was in the original Garden is the food that fights cancer!  According to MD Anderson Cancer Center, plant-based foods can help lower the risk of cancer recurrence by reducing inflammation and oxidative stress (MD Anderson Cancer Center, n.d.). Harvard Health also highlights that diets rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and legumes are associated with a lower risk of developing various types of cancer (Harvard Health Publishing, 2022).  The American Institute for Cancer Research emphasizes that plant-based diets are typically high in fiber and low in unhealthy fats, which contribute to maintaining a healthy weight—a key factor in cancer prevention and management (American Institute for Cancer Research, n.d.).

In other words, we can nourish our bodies while we starve cancer cells.  We really can.  BUT FIRST, I know what you’re already thinking…

So, please allow me to drop a whole lot of info on you now.  Take your time and click the buttons below, read/watch/listen to it all and see how different foods have been proven to help or hurt cancer patients!  Then if you’re thinking, “That’s great and all, but there’s NO WAY I could do that!”…check out the “GARDEN IN THREE ACTS” section below to see how easy and FAST it can be for you to eat to kill cancer cells NOW!

OK.  HERE WE GO…

WELL THEN, WHAT ON EARTH CAN I EAT?!?

*And last but not least…

THE Smoothie.

The Drink It Every Day, Works to Fight Cancer in Every Way, Full of Antioxidants Smoothie by Dr. Kristi Funk.

*I try to drink this every day, but I leave out the banana.  Research that came out after this video says it’s better to separate our banana-eating from our berry-eating, so my banana comes as a snack later in the day!  Also, when I squeeze lemon into it, I add some of the lemon peel because…*

“Ok I supposed this is pretty convincing but I wouldn’t even know where to BEGIN if I don’t pile a bunch of meat and cheese on my plate.  I’m not sure what steps to take!  Really, how would I even DO this?!?”  Click below, hopefully this will give you some ideas!

I personally do not eat any animal products at all.  BUT if you’re thinking, “Nope.  No way.  Sorry, I HAVE to eat some kind of meat.”  Then I would offer you this:  Maybe start your transition with an easy Mediterranean diet, where your meat and dairy intake are simply limited and you concentrate on fresh fruits and veggies, whole grains and legumes!  It’s certainly better than the standard American diet and it could be a great bridge between where you are now and where you’d like to go!

Green tea is high in antioxidants and something called epigallocatechin gallate (or “EGCG”) that is highly anti-inflammatory and protects against cell damage.  Yes, it tastes “earthy,” but a drop of stevia makes it taste delicious!  Squeeze a little lemon in for better absorption into the cells!

Tea is best when it’s “loose leaf” and steeped without a bag.  When tea bags hit hot water, they might release something called epichlorohydrin, which is a carcinogen.  So, whenever you can, use a steeper!

Turmeric has the ability to hinder every stage of cancer development, and it can trigger cancer cell death (or “apoptosis”)!  Turmeric MUST be eaten with black pepper in order to get absorbed into our cells, so DON’T SKIP THAT STEP, add the pepper!

Ground flax seeds are a great source of lignans and ALA, both of which have been shown to fight cancer.  In fact, flax seeds have been shown to increase the effectiveness of Tamoxifen for breast cancer treatment!  Shoot for two tablespoons a day, I sprinkle it on everything!

THE most antioxidant rich berry on earth.  The Indian Gooseberry (AKA Phyllanthus emblica or “Amla”) is anti-inflammatory, impairs tumor progression, and dissipates free radicals.  It’s a MUST.  Just a tiny bit (teaspoon full) every day, in smoothies, oatmeal, etc.

You really can make this change and eat abundantly and joyfully!  For help, check out the RECIPES section and read the material in the ENCOURAGEMENT section.  And as always, I would talk to a doctor and/or a nutritionist who is very well versed in cancer specific diets to see if there’s anything you should be adding, avoiding, etc!

“All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be dominated by anything.- 1 Corinthians 6:12
