THE 3 GIFTS

*This section is full of information.  Take your time, read it to the end, take notes, watch and re-watch the videos, read and re-read the papers, and decide how many of these easy ideas you need to implement in order to help yourself heal from cancer!*

FIRST THINGS FIRST

The Lord God planted a garden to the east in Eden. He put the man there whom He had made.  And the Lord God made to grow out of the ground every tree that is pleasing to the eyes and good for food. And He made the tree of life grow in the center of the garden, and the tree of learning of good and bad. – Genesis 2: 8-9

There was no cancer in the Garden of Eden.

Please allow me to take a humble liberty:  In the original plan we were meant to walk around in nature all day, easily picking and eating all the colorful things from the earth we might want.  We were meant to spend our days communing with God.  Breathing in nothing but fresh air.  Living out Love, Joy and Peace with no fear, no stress, no anger, no sadness.

And never, ever, ever thinking about death.

And of course, as we know, when SIN entered the world, DEATH entered the world.  I’m sure we could draw all sorts of parallels between sin trying to destroy our souls and cancer trying to destroy our bodies, but that’s a whole ‘nuther subject.  Either way, can we agree that we have gotten very far away from the original plan?

Toxins, pollutants, inflammation…Our modern, convenient, out-of-the-Garden way of living might be creating the perfect environment in our bodies for cancer to flourish.  Click below…

BUT…If we tried, right now, to model life in the Garden, BEFORE there was death and disease, would it unlock some potential to heal our bodies as well as our hearts?  And could science support this idea?

Let’s skip to one of the verses I’ve clung to since I found out I had cancer.  Maybe you have, too…

For God gave us not a spirit of fearfulness; but of POWER and LOVE and DISCIPLINE.  – 2 Timothy 1:7

In the Garden there was probably no need to focus on power, love and discipline because things were perfect.  But they sure aren’t perfect now.  So let’s turn our attention to that verse because, in addition to being one of God’s most spiritually empowering promises, it can have some PRACTICAL applications for us, too!

The following are real life ways we can RECEIVE these 3 gifts and use them to promote our health and conquer our fear.  And most of these things (based on peer reviewed, evidence based, scientific research) are also things that get us closer to what life must have been like in the Garden.

Cancer makes us feel helpless.  What’s the opposite of helpless?  Powerful.  Cancer makes us feel angry, frustrated, disconnected.  What’s the opposite of all that?  Love.  Cancer makes everything feel out of control.  What’s the opposite?  Discipline and Self Control.

GIFT #1: POWER

Empowering our body’s natural ability to heal itself.

His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness – 2 Peter 1:3

GIFT #2: LOVE

Loving God, loving others, loving this amazing world.

There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. – 1 John 4:18

GIFT #3: DISCIPLINE

Sound mind & self control, knowing when to go & when to stop.

A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls. – Proverbs 25:28

So, what do we do with all this?  Whatever we like!  Dive in headfirst and implement every suggestion, or pick a few things you KNOW you can do right away!  While it’s true that the bigger the change the bigger the benefit, it’s also true that too much change can be overwhelming at first.  Just don’t let fear stand in the way of change.  Be brave and go for it!

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. – 2 Timothy 3: 16-17

So how in the WORLD can I incorporate all this into my daily life?!?  Below is an easy example of a busy day that utilizes The 3 Gifts.  If you take a minute to picture what the day would look like, it’s really not hard at all.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

Wake Up (PRAISE GOD!!!)

Devotional/Gratitude/Deep Breathing (10 minutes)

Dry Brush OR Lymphatic Massage (5 minutes-alternate each day)

Get Ready/Get Family Ready

Make Smoothie (10 minutes)

Take Supplements/Make Vitamin C Water (2 minutes)

Drive to Work-Praise/Prayer/Podcast (length of drive)

Sip Smoothie & Vitamin C Water All Day

Delegate at Work to Minimize Stress (easier said than done, of course)

Lunch (full of plants, vitamins, antioxidants)

After Work-Walk or Jog Outside (at least 30 minutes) AND/OR Lift Weights (30 minutes)

Spend Time with Loved Ones (that’s why we’re here – text, phone, face to face, hugs, etc.)

Dinner (plants, vitamins, antioxidants) with Supplements

Pack Lunch for Tomorrow (10 minutes)

Nighttime Gentle Stretch (30 minutes while you watch TV or relax)

Castor Oil Pack (1 hour every other night) While You Relax Before Bed

Pray/Deep Breathing Before Turning Out the Light

Restorative Sleep on Grounding Sheet

Yes, this stuff takes some work.  But it’s GOOD work.  Tricky to figure out at first?  Maybe, but very quickly it becomes habit and routine.  And it feels really good to know you’re using what God has given you to help yourself heal!
